Reality becomes stranger than fiction when an acclaimed romance novelist wakes up in the home of his “Number One Fan.” Rescued from a wintery car crash, Paul Sheldon finds himself incapacitated in the secluded home of Annie Wilkes, a seemingly kind nurse. When events take a nightmarish turn, the injured Paul realizes the unhinged Annie has no intention of letting him leave. Based on Stephen King’s best-selling novel, barebones' production of Misery will thrill Pittsburgh audiences as the company returns to the stage for the first time in two years.

Lo Bar Pop-Up

Our friends at Lo Bar are curating a pop-up speakeasy for our production of Misery before, during, and after all shows, featuring light bites from black radish. Look for a mix of cocktails and mocktails from Lo Bar and Goodlander plus brews from the Brew Gentleman and a variety of wine and sparkling. Misery ticket holders: stay tuned for a speakeasy code with your "day of" information that will give you access to a secret $5 cocktail.

The pop-up is open to the public, so even if you're attending a sold-out performance, your friends don't have to be miserable because there's plenty to eat and drink while they hang.
