what’s this? what’s this?

we are hosting a nightmare of a fundraiser in honor of our 20th year!

Oh, there's an empty place in my bones, that calls out for something unknown...

Join us for a live musical reading of the classic film The Nightmare Before Christmas, starring two-time TONY winner Michael Cerveris in the titular role of Jack Skellington. A live band will back a bevy of talented performers as they read/sing/perform with an original spin from Tim Burton's timeless classic in barebones' signature style in an intimate club setting.

Life's no fun without a good scare...

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this event family-friendly/all ages? Yes! The Tim Burton classic is, and ours will be too! We purposely started the event a bit earlier on Sunday so that friends of all ages could join us.

How long is the performance? The run time of the actual Nightmare reading performance is about 70 minutes, but there will be other performances/activities throughout the evening.

When will the performance begin? The reading will begin promptly at 6:05pm.

What if I am late? Will I be turned away? No. In addition to a performance/reading, it's a celebration/party! This isn't like a performance at the blackbox theater. If you're running late, that's fine. Join us when you can!

Can I sit with my friends who also purchased tickets? We'll do our best to accommodate seating requests for those who purchased VIP tickets (reserved seating). Please bear with us as we work with City Winery Pittsburgh to work out those logistics during the event. We may not be able to honor every request.

Can I receive a refund? Please see City Winery’s policy regarding refunds (short answer: unless we cancel the performance, no. Refunds will not be issued).
